Nanny’s Creations Company was founded by me, Shannon, along with my niece Izzy and my son Nick. We started this journey in 2021 to cope with the loss of my mother. What began as a therapeutic hobby of creating candles and wax melts turned into a passion. To our delight, our products became popular at local craft shows, inspiring us to transform our joy into a thriving business.

In transitioning from a coping activity to a business, we pondered over a name that would honor our loved one. After hours of heartfelt brainstorming, my son suggested "Nanny’s Creations," inspired by the beloved nickname "Nanny" used by her grandchildren. Thus, on a sunny Saturday, we established Nanny’s Creations Company—a heartfelt tribute to her memory.

For those seeking to commemorate a loved one, our journey stands as a testament to finding solace and purpose in honoring their legacy.

Mental health and disabilities are topics close to my heart. My mother struggled with mental health issues, and my son has Autism. It's crucial to normalize these conversations and support those affected. Did you know that 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, and 1 in 20 face serious mental illness? Many people, like my family, navigate these challenges daily. Let's change the narrative and foster a more understanding and supportive world for everyone.

By creating Nanny's Creations, I've sought to normalize conversations about mental health and support those affected, including my own family. Crafting our products is not only a coping mechanism but also a way to teach my son new skills and give him a sense of purpose, especially as he faces challenges in finding a job that accommodates his disabilities. As our business grows, I aim to employ others who may need similar support, providing opportunities for learning, growth, and earning a living wage. This is my personal mission to make a meaningful difference in the world.
